Program Director
Meagan Sawyer
Meagan began twirling at age six and quickly fell in love with the sport. She was one of the original members of the Main-E-Act Travel Team that was formed in 2004 before continuing her twirling career at the University of Maine, where she proudly performed as a University of Maine Majorette with the Pride of Maine Marching Band.
In 2012, she transitioned into coaching and discovered a passion for teaching the next generation of twirlers. Her coaching style blends strong technique, confidence and team building, and a supportive environment where every athlete can grow and be successful.
In 2024, when longtime director and friend retired, she took over the Central Maine Twirling Corps and reintroduced the program under a new name, Maine Twirling Corps, reflecting its renewed vision, growth, and statewide reach. Today she leads the program with enthusiasm, experience, and a commitment to expanding opportunities for twirlers across Maine.
Coaches and Junior Instructors
Our Coaches and Junior Instructors are experienced twirlers and teachers who support technique, choreography, and class management. They serve as mentors and role models for younger athletes, helping demonstrate skills and encourage positive learning.
